Personal injury

Hurt in a Miami car crash or a fall on someone else’s property?

Auto collisions and slip-and-fall injuries are the bulk of what we do. We deal with the insurance company while you focus on getting better, and you owe us nothing unless we win.

What we handle

Two case types, handled every week.

Personal injury is the firm’s largest practice, and within it we concentrate on the two case types we see most in Miami-Dade: vehicle collisions and falls on unsafe property. If that is what happened to you, you are talking to a firm that handles it every week.

Focus area

Auto & truck accidents

Rear-end and intersection collisions, commercial truck crashes, rideshare wrecks, hit-and-run and uninsured-motorist claims. We handle the PIP paperwork, the property damage, the medical liens and the bad-faith exposure when an insurer stalls. Florida’s comparative-negligence rules and its filing deadlines both cut against waiting, and which deadline applies to you depends on your facts, so ask early.

Focus area

Slip, trip & fall / premises liability

Wet floors without a warning cone, broken stair treads, unlit parking garages, negligent security. These cases turn on evidence that disappears fast: incident reports, maintenance logs and surveillance footage that gets overwritten in days. Getting a preservation letter out early is often the whole case.

Other injury matters we take

Motorcycle accidents

Higher injury severity, and an insurance defense playbook that leans hard on rider fault.

Traumatic brain injuries

Lifetime-cost claims requiring medical and vocational expert work.

Wrongful death

Claims brought by the personal representative under Florida’s Wrongful Death Act.

Medical malpractice, defective products and spinal cord injury matters are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and referred to experienced co-counsel where that serves you better.

What happens next

How an injury claim actually moves

1

Free case review

You tell us what happened. We tell you honestly whether you have a claim and what it may be worth.

2

Investigation

We preserve footage and records, get the crash or incident report, and document your injuries.

3

Demand & negotiation

Once treatment stabilizes we present the claim. Most cases resolve here.

4

Trial if needed

If the offer is not fair, we file. Our trial attorneys have tried cases to verdict.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How much does it cost to hire you for an injury case?

Nothing up front. Injury cases are handled on a contingency fee: we are paid a percentage of the recovery, and if we do not recover anything you owe no attorney’s fee.

How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in Florida?

For most negligence claims arising on or after March 24, 2023, Florida’s statute of limitations is two years from the date of the injury. Wrongful death and claims against government entities follow different, often shorter, deadlines. Because the deadline that applies depends on your specific facts, do not rely on a general figure. Ask us early.

The insurance company already offered me money. Should I take it?

Talk to a lawyer before you sign anything. A first offer is usually made before the full extent of your treatment is known, and accepting it typically releases every future claim arising from the same incident.

What if the crash was partly my fault?

For most negligence claims filed under Florida’s current modified comparative negligence statute, you can still recover if you are 50% or less at fault, with your recovery reduced by your share, and recovery is barred above 50%. Two important exceptions: the 50% bar does not apply to medical negligence actions, and claims that predate the 2023 amendments are still governed by the older pure comparative negligence rule. Fault allocation is frequently disputed and is usually worth fighting over.

Do you handle cases in Spanish?

Yes. Consultations, case updates and document review are all available in Spanish, directly with an attorney or staff member, with no interpreter service in between.
